INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Dominguez Channel Site Assessment and Cleanup Home Page.  This website contains information regarding the “Dominguez Channel LNAPL Investigation” in Carson, California.  Resource Environmental, LLC (www.rellc.net) in collaboration with URS Corporation (www.urscorp.com) is implementing an investigation and mitigation program of petroleum light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) detected on the water during low tides along and near a pipeline corridor that transects the Dominguez Channel approximately 400 feet south of the Carson Street Bridge.   

The investigation and mitigation activities should have minimal impact on residences and businesses.  During certain times, some of the businesses and streets will be temporarily occupied by investigation and construction equipment.  In order to complete this work, some traffic lanes will be temporarily closed on a day-to-day basis.

This “Dominguez Channel LNAPL Investigation” is being implemented under the oversight of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB) and with the cooperation of area businesses that have been affected by the project activities.
